Charlton v Bolton

Charlton v Bolton

Charlton missed a huge chance to pull clear of the drop zone in midweek by losing one of their games in hand at home to lowly Barnsley. That result didn't just frustrate the Addicks but pulled Barnsley to within two points of the South London club. Bolton are unbeaten in six games and have found some good form in the second half of the season. The Trotters have won three and drawn three of their last six away games too, making them favourites here.

Wigan v Reading

Wigan v Reading

Wigan's form has dipped in recent weeks after they jumped into the play off spots. The Latics have won just once in their last six games in all competitions and are not yet guaranteed a top six spot. Reading are just one spot below Wigan in the table and themselves seem to be doing all they can to miss out on the play offs. Sides behind this pair are finding form at the right time so this is a real six pointer for both.

Atl Madrid v Elche

Atl Madrid v Elche

It does not get any easier for Elche in their fight for survival. Last week they had to travel to the Mestalla and despite putting up a good fight, they came away empty-handed. The Vicente Calderon is one of the hardest grounds to travel to and with Atlético getting ever closer to their first title since 1996, their trip to the capital is a case of bad timing and they are likely to again come away with nothing. Atlético Madrid are marching towards the title and are strong favourites to continue against Elche. Diego Simeone is to go with his favoured 4-4-2, which will see in-form strikers Diego Costa and David Villa partner up. While the loss of Arda Turan is significant, Raul Garcia is a competent replacement and his slightly more physical approach will benefit the home side in a game where the visitors will be aggressive.

Doncaster v Derby

Doncaster v Derby

Doncaster's three defeats in a row has dragged them right back into the mix for the relegation places. Rovers do tend to perform better against the top sides but will need a result here to ease the pressure. Derby need to win to keep their faint hopes of automatic promotion alive, but form going into the playoffs is the main thing now. The Rams have won just one of their last five games on the road.
