Marseille v Lille

Marseille v Lille

Marseille have only won half of their 16 games at the Stade Velodrome in Ligue 1 this season. The hosts have recently lost the support of their fans who are waiting for a new manager, staff and board. Marcelo Bielsa is now expected to take over next season. Mathieu Valbuena and his teammates don't seem too affected by the internal crisis going on in Marseille, having won two games in a row for the first time since November. As a result, they might still be aiming for a European place. Lille have only conceded 14 goals on the road this season and may be thankful to their impressive goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

Washington @ Chicago

Washington @ Chicago

The Bulls head into tonight's playoff opener against the Washington Wizards as one of the hottest teams in the NBA. They overcame significant hurdles to win 48 games and secure home-court advantage in the first round. They lost Derrick Rose to a season-ending injury to his right knee in November after he sat out last season because of surgery on his left knee, and they traded away one of their top remaining players in Luol Deng. Not only did the Bulls get by, they started to flourish just when it looked as though they might come apart. With 36 victories since Jan. 1, the Bulls led the Eastern Conference and captured the fourth seed.

Malaga v Villarreal

Malaga v Villarreal

Malaga's inconsistent form continued on Monday against Athletic Bilabao. The Costa del Sol side were convincingly beaten following a two-match winning streak. Bernd Schuster's side are not officially safe from relegation and this will be in the minds of the team as they host Villarreal. Villarreal will be motivated for different reasons. They are in sixth spot and they need to secure it in order to guarantee European football for next season, which would be a great achievement on their return to La Liga. Marcelino's side are capable of playing some attractive football, but last week they showed their more gritty side as they ground out a slender 1-0 win over an always physically tough Levante outfit. The Yellow Submarines will be boosted by the return of Giovanni dos Santos following his injury. He will pose a real threat to a Malaga defence that has not kept a clean sheet in four games.
