T20 Blast - Lancashire v Glamorgan

T20 Blast - Lancashire v Glamorgan

Lancashire welcome Glamorgan in the first of the T20 blast Quarter Finals at Old Trafford. Having won an impressive 10 out of 14 matches which saw the Red Rose outfit secure the top spot in the North Group they will enter this tie in buoyant mood knowing that the Welsh side only managed to qualify in fourth position in the South Group. Charismatic Ex-England all-rounder, Andrew Flintoff had came out of retirement specifically for this competition and his involvement has seen him and his Lancashire team-mates lose only 2 games in the competition this summer which is less than any other county.

Rubin Kazan v Spartak Moscow

Rubin Kazan v Spartak Moscow

Rubin Kazan will not be looking back on last season for any inspiration moving forward. With several new signings, none of ground-breaking talents however, the team will be aiming for a European finish this time round. Spartak have had a change of manager over the summer and such has been the uncertainty at the helm that few transfers have been confirmed, so the new Coach, Murat Yakin will be looking to try and get the best out of the previous group. Kazan have made attacking purchases this Summer, so look to an attacking set-up from them from the off.

Olympiakos v Man City

Olympiakos v Man City

Pellegrini's Man City go into their final fixture in the Group stage of the International Champions Cup knowing that their destiny, which would have in all likelihood been a Manchetser derby against rivals United, is not in their hands as due to Liverpool heading the group by one point advantage. City helped themselves to 5 goals against Milan, however they failed to over-turn Premier League opponents Liverpool who saw them off in a penalty shootout. Despite both teams natural desire to win, the Premier League defence will be at the fore-front of their plans and expect a few changes throughout the match from Pellegrini as he still works on his shape.

Man Utd v Real Madrid

Man Utd v Real Madrid

As pre-season friendlies go, especially with the prospect of a potential Manchester United v Liverpool clash looming in the final of this competition, this fixture pretty much eclipses everything. As ticket sales are still going this will be played out in front of over 100,000 fans in Detroit. United managed to see off Inter Milan after a penalty shoot-out and despite the need to test many facets of both European giants new outfits, it is likely that Rooney, Ronaldo and Bale will feature in this decider. Elsewhere a Roma or Inter Milan win could still snatch the top spot from United if they slip up against The Galacticos.
