Albirex Niigata v Hougang: Upfront for Albirex, Kazuki Sakamoto has been doing his duties as per normal. With six goals already this season, that makes him Albirex’s highest goalscorer. But, his goals may not have been possible if it was not for the midfield pairing for Kento Nagasaki and Shingo Suzuki, who provide a constant supply of ammunition for Sakamoto and Bruno Casteinheira. Hougang have been miserable away, collecting only two points in their last five games on the road.

ATP Dusseldorf - Sijsling v Nieminen: Sixth seed Jarkko Nieminen holds a 2-1 series edge against World No. 68 Igor Sijsling. Today marks their first meeting on clay. Nieminen passed into the semifinal after 2nd seed Tommy Haas withdrew due to illness. The veteran looks to reach his first ATP World Tour final of the season. Sijsling advanced to the last four with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over the Czech Republic's Jan Hajek. The 25-year-old is set to make his first Tour semifinal this year.

WTA Brussels - Oprandi v Peng: This is the second time the pair have clashed in the last month, with Oprandi dominating Peng in 2 sets at the semi-final stage in Oeiras. Peng favours the hard stuff and she achieved another semi-final finish in Shezhen earlier this year. Having made the final here last year, Peng will be looking to give herself the chance to go one better this year. However the Swiss, Romana Oprandi will no doubt fight all the way in this one. French Open Tennis: Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova will be out to retain their singles titles at the world’s premier clay court tournament; The tournament has been staged on the courts at the Roland Garros stadium since 1928 and was the first of the Grand Slam tournaments to join the "Open Era" in 1968.
