There has been no winning Triumph Hurdle favourite since Detroit City claimed a famous success back in 2006 at odds of 7/2. In addition, Barry Geraghty, Richard Johnson and Robert Thornton have won this seven times between them so their mounts should be watched closely. There was a big priced winner of the race in 2012 when Countrywide Flame came in at 33/1 but he is the only double figured priced winner since 2004.
Paul Nicholls is having another excellent season and the Ditcheat team will saddle Calipto in the Triumph. He looks like a classy juvenile while the same can be said of Guitar Pete who looks like a nice sort for Dessie Hughes and he is also being well backed.
